Hello all.
It’s hard to believe that 2025 is almost over! On so many fronts, it has been a great year for us. We had 2 new babies enter the world, the markets have been good to us, and the practice has continued to grow. We are certainly grateful.
All of us at Zambri Financial want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays…whatever you may celebrate!
The picture above is what we (Jenn and I) sent out for the family Christmas card. It’s a little smaller in this format but, hopefully, you will be able to make out the faces. It was great to have everyone together and they all cooperated…even the babies!
As most of you know, Christmas Eve and Christmas day are very special in the Zambri household. It all starts on the eve of Christmas Eve (December 23rd), when 4 families gather for the annual preparation of the “pulpo” (that’s Italian for octopus). Believe it or not, we’ll be prepping over 40 pounds of octopus this year!
Christmas Eve will be at our house. Yours truly is in charge of the 7 fishes meal. It’s one of my favorite meals of the year. I should duly note that Jenn is in charge of almost all of the other holidays. She’s a rock star. She let’s me have this one though…but she still helps! It’s a well-choreographed “dance”. Early afternoon, I get all of the dishes prepared. We all go to the 4:00 mass. Then, when we get back, the food magic starts. This may come as no surprise to most of you but…I actually have a chart with start and end times for each dish. I use 2 ovens, 2 stove tops, and the BBQ grill to make sure that everything comes out at the same time and it’s all hot. It sounds like a lot, but it’s so much fun for me. I believe I’ll be cooking for 29 this year!
Christmas Day will be at my sister’s. Thank you, Cathie, for your hard work. She’s such a great cook and always has something unique for us! She’s much better than me on that front. The only thing “unique” about my meal is that I change up the “main” fish each year. Otherwise, it’s the same grouping. Why mess with success, right?
OK…I know this newsletter has avoided business. That’s intentional. I can use next month’s newsletter to put a bow on this year. I’ll hope and pray that we get through the remainder of this year much as we are right now (early evening of 12/16/25 for those who are wondering). As I mentioned earlier, it’s been a good year…may it continue!
Finally, I would like to remind you to tune into my radio show, Financially Speaking, every Wednesday evening at 5:00 pm. It airs on 103.9 FM, LI News Radio. If you are out of the station’s listening range, you can go to their web site, www.linewsradio.com, and click on the “listen live” link or you can download the LI News Radio app. This is a great way for you to keep up with what’s on my mind, my thoughts about current conditions, and some timely information about financial planning topics.
Until next time, Happy Thanksgiving, be well, and God Bless!
